TERM 3 TRAINING | ACTING CORE SKILLS

TERM THree 2018 | COURSE STARTING SUNDAY 29TH OF July 2018!

During term 3 WAYTCo are offering students the opportunity to participate in aN 8 week course for PERFORMers AGED 14-18. This course is suitable for experienced and emerging performers. 

IN THIS COURSE PARTICIPANTS WILL DISCOVER AND EVOLVE THEIR ACTING SKILLS, build confidence and communitcation skills THROUGH performance GAMES AND GROUP work.    

Term 3 | 8 week performance course - Starting 29 July 2018!

Throughout Term 3 participants will learn the skills needed to read, analyse, rehearse and perform a strong scene or scripted work. Focusing on the give-and-take of duologues and group scenes as well as the dramaturgical research needed to present a play, this course will broaden the students’ understanding of what it is that makes a great performance. The course will culminate in a showcase that parents and friends are welcome to join.

ABOUT Mark Storen | Mark is a performer, writer, director and educator from Perth. He has travelled his work internationally and nationally, his most popular works include: The Polite Gentleman, (nominated for five Blue Room Awards, winner best production team) A Drunken CabaretCut to The Quick, and Benjamin & Me (nominated best performance Blue Room Awards). Most recently Storen was the creative director of Propel Youth Arts WA. He has worked with Barking Gecko Theatre Company, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, WA Youth Theatre Company, Perth Theatre Company and Black Swan State Theatre Company.
