Every year the WA Youth Theatre Company endeavours to engage young artists in our productions both on and off the stage. Currently we are inviting expressions of interest for WA creatives keen to get involved in a number of exciting and practical positions on our shows.

Each show we produce will have an opening for a young creative to explore the worlds of set, costume and sound design, marketing and publicity, stage and production management, directing and dramatuging via mentorships with the professionals engaged by the company on each production and also in fully commited roles as our Young Creative Residents.

Our current Young Creative Resident is the fantastic Remy Benn who has taken charge of Costume Design for our new show Punk Rock by SImon Stephens. Under the guidance of the show's Set Designer WAAPA graduate Patrick Howe this dedicated creative has been working closely with the director and production team to both generate designs for the show, pitch and present her ideas as well as realising the costumes themselves sourcing and purchasing her final product. She has done a brillinat job and we hope to support her in her further work and studies by showcasing her work and talent to our audience across the season.
